Name: Barrington Brewery

Location: Great Barrington, MA

History: Barrington Brewery & Restaurant has been open since 1995, and is no stranger to entertaining locals and foliage enthusiasts alike. Barrington is also a pioneer in using sustainable energy, and in 2016 they converted to solar power.  So they've got that going for them, which is nice.

Recommended Brews:  Think Berkshires and drink like it's a crisp fall day - no matter the weather.  Black Bear Stout and the Barrington Brown pair quite nicely with Barrington's cozy atmosphere and a Plowman's Lunch of sausages, cheese, chutney, and ale bread.  My personal favorite is the Vienna Lager, which brings a nice malty sweetness and a low ABV. Fill up a growler and go grab some mountain views.

While you're in the area: The Berkshires are beautiful, and that's a fact. It's pure country in Massachusetts, with plenty of good hiking and scenery. In Great Barrington, you can enjoy hiking in Monument Mountain, and then grab a quick drive up to Stockbridge for lunch and a drink in the quintessential rustic-chic New England tavern, the Red Lion Inn.  Stockbridge is also home to the Norman Rockwell Museum, one of the best little art museums in the state.
