Name: Wormtown Brewery

Location: Worcester, MA. It's pronounced Wuh-ster. Not this.

History: Wormtown Brewery celebrated their five year anniversary in 2015.
You do the math! Wormtown was started by locals and, while you can find the
Be Hoppy all over the state, remains local. Check out a more extensive
history here. My final comment: Ice cream and beer.

Recommended Brews: As I indicated earlier, whether you're from the Bay State
or not, you might have had Wormtown's signature flagship IPA, the Be Hoppy.
It's a quality go-to IPA full of classic citrusy hop goodness.
On my recent visit, I was lucky enough to score their contribution to Ales for ALS,
a delicious NEIPA. By the by, if you aren't familiar with this particular cause,
click on the link I've provided.
The hero statement says it best: Great Beer; Great Cause.
Also, fun fact, Wormtown makes a ridiculously drinkable shandy.

While you're in the area: I recently coined the
hashtag #worcesterisforcraftbeerlovers. It hasn't trended yet (but it will,
ye non-believers!) although I feel the statement, despite a gross indulgence on
character use, is warranted.
Worcester is home to 2 breweries (Wormtown and 3Cross Brewing),
the Dive Bar, and the famous Armsby Abbey (best draught selection in the state).

If you aren't a beer-drinker (and I know you exist out there somewhere), you can
catch a show at the historic Palladium, a concert venue that first opened its doors in
the 1920's as the Plymouth Theater. For kids and/or science geeks, definitely check
out the EcoTarium.
