Name: Night Shift Brewing

Location: Everett, MA

History: This brewery has become a household name, thanks to their wide range of offerings, incredible taproom, and meteoric growth. Night Shift has quickly become one of New England’s premier craft breweries and a thought leader in the craft space.

Recommended Brews: I’ve had the pleasure of considering Night Shift my go-to brewery for the past year, and tried as many of their beers as I can get my hands on.  My two top picks from their main lineup are the Awake, one of the most consistent and solid coffee porters I've ever had, and the Morph IPA, a hazy, citrusy delight that has a soft mouthfeel and mild bitterness on the backend.  I’ve sampled a ton of their rotating draughts, and some of my favorites from that list include the Annie Oatley, a smooth-drinking (thank you, oats) Simcoe/Citra mash, and the Bennington Oatmeal Stout.  Frankly, I’ve just been a sucker for that style ever since my first Samuel Smith.  And apparently I like oats.

While you're in the area: Link to my article about Bone Up Brewing, which is pretty much three doors down.  Like the band. While at Night Shift, you can order food from several local vendors, or check their calendar for food trucks.  Honestly, between the vibe, the space, the free arcade games, and the beer, I could spend an entire afternoon here and want for nothing. I call M. Bison.
