Name: Idle Hands Craft Ales

Location: Malden, MA

History: This Belgian-inspired brewery is a recent addition to the city of Malden, but has been around for a few years.  The founders originally operated out of Everett, but were forced to relocate due to the Wynn Casino project.  As a former Maldenite, I am once again cursing the fact that I left this city too early; Idle Hands is an awesome place to call your local watering hole, and my current town has sadly nothing to offer for a comparison.  Your move, Wakefield.

Recommended Brews: Such a wide range to choose from.  I love the Sig Sour (non-puckering, dry sour ale), Change Up #2 (really good IPA - reminds me a bit of Morph, from Night Shift), Patriarch (a patersbier - meaning a light, Belgian table beer that only clocks in at 4.9%), and most recently I sampled the Big Papi-inspired 34, a robust porter that brings chocolate and solid malt flavors.

While you're in the area: Boda Borg. You're welcome.  Malden also has some great, local restaurants and bars that are worth checking out: Pearl Street Station for a casual, local haunt, Pisa Pizza (best pizza for miles), Hugh O'Neill's (spacious Irish pub with a great rotating draught list), Mystic Station (friendly service and great consumables), Ferry Street Food & Drink for great local beer and food).
